SpheroCamHDR High Dynamic Range
Revolutionizing the concept of photography

The SpheroCamHDR is the first-ever camera to feature full-fledged HDR technology. It is a system solution in itself with greater potential for dynamic range than is likely to be found in most scenes. With up to 26 f-stops in one image the SpheroCamHDR captures all levels of light intensity, in all directions, and that in a single scanning pass. Image underexposure and overexposure are problems that don’t apply to the SpheroCamHDR.

The system is designed for heavy-duty usage, encapsulated (body is milled from a solid block and anodized for the protective black finish) and operable under extreme conditions; from the extreme cold of the South Pole (NASA project in preparation for the Mars Mission) to the high temperatures experienced in brightly lit photo studios.

Capturing fully spherical HDR images with the SpheroCamHDR is very simple and efficient: set up the camera, record the light distribution in a single scan and save it as a raw file in highest reso-lution. Use the built-in post processing engine to generate the desired HDR output.

Setting up the equipment and preparing for the final capture only takes a few minutes. Depen-dant upon resolution and lighting conditions, capturing a scene with the SpheroCamHDR (360° x 180°) requires several seconds up to several minutes. The entire operation, from setup to final exposure is about five minutes in most cases under standard lighting conditions.
